their names and operations to other operations removing the intent
of charitable bingo and turning it into a gambling operation,
3) leave interpretation up to a Racing
Commission, which is vulnerable to corruption,
4) have no restriction for remote locations
for offsite play.
A substitute bill was offered on
Thursday, April 17, and approved by a 21-5 margin.
Voting YES to allow the bill to be discussed were:
Barron, Beason, Bedford, Bishop, Coleman,
Dixon, Figures, Lindsey, Little (T), Little (Z), Marsh, McClain,
Means, Mitchem, Penn, Pittman, Preuitt, Ross, Singleton, Smitherman,
and Waggoner.
Voting NO were:
Butler, Erwin, French, Holley, and Smith.
